As we align with the celestial energy of the August Full Moon in Shravana Nakshatra, ruled by Vishnu, the preserver of the universe, we introduce Vishnu Mudra as our Mudra of the Month. This sacred hand gesture is associated with harmony, balance, and the preservation of energy—perfectly reflecting Vishnu’s essence and the themes of this lunar period.
How to Practice Vishnu Mudra
Sit comfortably in a meditative posture with your spine tall and shoulders relaxed.
Bring your right hand to your nose, preparing for alternate nostril breathing (Nadi Shodhana Pranayama).
Fold your index and middle fingers into your palm, leaving your thumb, ring, and little fingers extended. This forms the Vishnu Mudra.
Close your right nostril gently with your thumb and inhale through your left nostril.
Close your left nostril with your ring finger, release the thumb, and exhale through your right nostril.
Continue alternating sides, using the Vishnu Mudra as your guide.
Practice for 5-10 minutes to cultivate balance and mental clarity.
